About Us
History
It takes a village learning academy; Inc has been serving Dekalb County since 1998. Fay Laing is the owner and director, with 25 years of classroom and nursing experience. She is also assisted by her daughter Toy Laing who serves as program manger and Kendra Hargrove the assistant Director.
Staff
Our staff is professionally trained and continuous child development education is required from owners, directors and staff. All staff members participate in on –going training in the area of child development, nutrition, management and health classes sponsored by the local universities, colleges’ technical schools, state agencies and the community organizations.
Menu
We are on the federal food program which allows us to serve quality food such as fresh fish and produce. However we DO NOT serve pork or anything that contains pork. We prepare hot, nutritious and balanced meals. Meals include breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.

As a commitment to the community and our children we are actively involved d in community, state and national organizations. They include:

- Dekalb united child care association (DUCCA)
- Georgia association of young children(GAYC)
- Georgia association of Age care associaition(GSACA)
- National associaition for education of young children (NAEYC)
- Southern early childhood association (SECA)
